Dive into diversity and inclusion at our Black Future's Month Forum event on Tuesday 15th October from 12-3pm
During this discussion students will be given the chance to share their experiences on being a black student at city and whether it has impacted their studies.
This event will be an open session and students can bring topics of discussion if they like.
Accessibility Info on City ST George's Students’ Union events:
To increase the awareness at our events, we’re aiming to better communicate with students/guests ahead of time what they can expect.
-Background music:
Background music will be played but will be at a low level, to allow students to talk to one an another during the event.
Enclosed spaces:
The event will be spaced out in a big room so that students don't feel squashed during the event.
-Alcohol:
No alcohol will be present during this event.
Wheelchair access: Most of the buildings on campus have at least one route that is suitable for someone who is using a wheelchair or other mobility aids.
Seating:
We have enough seating for every guest attending the event.
-Gender neutral toilet:
Accessible toilets for every guests can be found next to the event space.
Lighting:
Day lighting will be used as the event will be during the day in a bright room.
Activity level:
Light activity which involve group discussion, with a break for catering.
Designated quiet space:
We have quiet zones outside the venue that students can use if they need a break.
