Welcome to the IAM Henna Design Day, as part of our Islamophobia Awareness Campaign. This event is about celebrating culture, building connections, and promoting understanding through the art of henna. We're glad you could join us in creating an inclusive and welcoming space for all. Enjoy the activities, meet new people, and be part of this important awareness campaign! All the equipment will be provided by us and this will be a drop in event for students.
Accessibility Info on City ST George's Students’ Union events:
To increase the awareness at our events, we’re aiming to better communicate with students/guests ahead of time what they can expect.
-Background music:
Music will be played at a low level via the Student Union speaker system
Enclosed spaces: This event will be in which is a big enough space for all students to enjoy and operate freely in.
-Alcohol:
No alcohol will be present during this event.
-Wheelchair access:
Most of the buildings on campus have at least one route that is suitable for someone who is using a wheelchair or other mobility aids. Providing this information can ensure that the person is able to plan their route into the event, and ensure that it is suitable for them.
Venue can be accessed via wheelchair by the main entrance route, there is an elevator to access each of the floors.
-Seating:
There will be seating available for all students attending.
-Gender neutral toilet:
Toilets next to the venue have individual cubicles accessible regardless of gender.
-Lighting:
Normal room lighting will be used.
-Activity level:
The activity level for this event will be light as students will be networking whilst getting something to eat.
-Designated quiet space:
The event is drop-in so you can take time away if needed.
-Subtitles:
No TV's will be in use.
